The house is spread over three floors, with each bedroom occupying half a floor, with no common walls. While it sleeps up to seven adults comfortably, it is perfect for two couples as they will each have their own floor, or up to 4 singles.
The foundations of the house were built in the 12th century, between the ramparts of the village.
On the ground floor is a well equipped eat in kitchen with a large oak dining table. There is a dishwasher, washing machine, six burner stainless steel oven, fridge freezer, microwave, coffee machine, toaster and all the equipment needed for your stay.
The lounge room has comfortable sofas, a desk, a TV with UK satellite channels, free wifi internet connection, an entertainment system with a selection of records and CDs, a library of books, reading materials, games, jigsaws, colouring in books etc. French doors from the lounge room lead onto steps down into the courtyard.
A winding wooden staircase leads up to the first floor from the hall.
Chambre Menthe is the largest of all the bedrooms and has two sets of French windows overlooking the courtyard and Boulevard de Capitani. It features a marble surround fireplace with built in wardrobes. The queen size bed has a coronet and the vintage furniture includes a large parquetry chest of drawers and a wooden table with two Victorian style chairs, The bathroom for this bedroom is located on the ground floor and has a shower cubicle with WC, wash basin and heated towel rail. This bedroom is decorated in hues of taupe, beige and white with accents of mint and light greens.
Chambre Rose overlooks the cobblestone laneway of Rue de l'Eglise and features a fireplace with a wooden mantle and a built in wardrobe. The queen size bed has a padded linen headboard and the vintage furniture includes a chest of drawers and a desk with rattan chair. There is a small sitting area with two tufted linen chairs and a pedestal table. This bedroom is entered via a small vestibule also containing the door to the ensuite with a walk-in shower, WC, a hand basin and a heated towel rail. It is decorated in hues of taupe, beige and white with rose and mid pink accents.
Bedrooms three and four are on the second floor, under the eaves.
Chambre Olive overlooks Rue de L'Eglise. It has a queen sized bed with a large carved wooden headboard. There is closet space behind a pair of curtains and the vintage furniture includes a chest of drawers, a desk and chair. The bijou ensuite has a walk-in shower, a WC and a hand basin. It is decorated in hues of taupe, beige and white with accents of olive and sage green.
Chambre Framboise also functions as a small sitting room and overlooks Boulevarde de Capitani. The dormer window provides amazing views over the surrounding countryside. It features a curtain covered iron daybed which converts into a single bed and the vintage furniture includes a chest of drawers, an ottoman coffee table and a bridge chair. The ensuite has a walk-in shower, WC, hand basin and a heated towel rail. It is decorated in hues of taupe, beige, grey and white with raspberry and red accents.
Sit under the canopy of an old wisteria tree to read a book or for your morning coffee or afternoon aperitif. The stone courtyard has outdoor seating including a table and chairs and a garden seat for two. Steps lead down onto Boulevard de Capitani.
